SHAME ON SPIKE!

Last week, the infamous Tyler Perry was interviewed on 60 minutes about his success with all of his movies and plays. Apparently, Spike Lee made some horrible comments about Mr. Perry, stating that his movies catered to buffoonery. Well, I simply could not believe my ears.
I have followed Tyler’s career as a writer producer and actor since the very beginning. Not only is he a man that has revolutionized the black film world, but he has given African Americans opportunities that one would only dream of.
Every movies that Tyler has made comes with a message of clear understanding. He takes every day situations that a lot of African Americans face, and paints a picture to give hope. Not only does his movies give the African American community hope in our everyday lives, but he adds comic relief to them. His movies will make you laugh, cry and think. How could anyone not enjoy these films? I think he is wonderful and has the perfect formula for success. Needless to say, he has his very own film company in Atlanta, GA.
Shame on Spike! I think that he is upset because Tyler has created a following that will keep him on top for many years to come. Spike had his time in the sun, and now it someone else’s turn to turn it out! He needs to think more about how to collaborate with Tyler to make something big happen. Two great minds are better than one. Ha! Why do you think he hooked up with Oprah to make Precious?
